Governor Oborevwori Commends Senator Okowa’s Hands-Off Approach to Governance in Delta State

SAPELE/Nigeria: Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, on Sunday, lauded his predecessor Senator Ifeanyi Okowa for maintaining a hands-off approach to the governance of Delta State. Speaking at the 60th birth and 24th marriage anniversary thanksgiving of the State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Olorogun Kingsley Esiso, at Living Faith Church, Shell Road, Sapele, Governor Oborevwori emphasized Okowa’s exceptional respect for the office of the Governor.

The Governor asserted, “Senator Okowa is a good man; he is not like other predecessors of other states. He has never interfered in the governance of the state. He has immense respect for the office of the Governor, being an immediate past occupant of the office.”

Acknowledging the challenges faced by other states with former Governors, Governor Oborevwori praised Senator Okowa’s refined approach. He stated, “Our immediate past Governor is a very refined man. So many rumors were flying, but the truth is that he has never ever interfered with what we are doing in the state.”

Governor Oborevwori extended congratulations to Esiso on his 60th birth anniversary, emphasizing the significance of thanksgiving in increasing a man’s age. He commended Esiso for his role as the party Chairman and for uniting people across party lines in gratitude.

Expressing gratitude to the people of Sapele for their support, Governor Oborevwori assured them that the MORE Agenda would have a positive impact across the state.

In his testimony, Chief Kingsley Esiso commended Senator Ifeanyi Okowa for his political success as State Chairman of the party. He also thanked Governor Oborevwori for gracing the ceremony and acknowledged his accomplishments in governance.

Resident Pastor, Winners Chapel Sapele, Pastor Victory Irabor, delivered a sermon titled “Power of faith for the fulfilment of prophecies.” He emphasized the importance of living a holy life to benefit from prophesies, congratulating Chief Kingsley Esiso on his birthday and urging him to redouble his service to God and humanity.

The Deputy Governor of the State, Sir Monday Onyeme, immediate past Governor Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Guwor, and other dignitaries attended the event, underscoring the significance of the occasion.
