EFFURUN/Nigeria: Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State has expressed his commitment to meeting the expectations of the electorate who voted for him. He made this promise during a visit to the Living Faith Church (Winners Chapel) in Effurun, Uvwie Local Government Area of the state. Oborevwori stated that he would serve the people as a servant leader with humility and the fear of God.
The governor expressed his gratitude to the church and the people of the state for their support and prayers, which he believes contributed to his election as governor. He assured the people that he would fulfill his promises and do more for them. He urged them to continue praying for him to succeed in his new role.
Oborevwori emphasized that he considers himself the governor of all Deltans and expressed his desire to serve them with humility and the fear of God. He mentioned his visit to the Living Faith Church as a sign of his commitment to seeking divine guidance and blessings for his tenure.
The Resident Pastor of the church, Pastor Triumphant Obamoh, delivered a sermon on the “Blessedness of a Revival.” He predicted that Delta State would experience great things and rise again, emphasizing the importance of God’s presence in sustaining and adorning a person. He stated that revival leads individuals to seek after God and His kingdom and to walk in the fear of God.
Pastor Obamoh further mentioned that Delta State would witness practical development and urged Governor Oborevwori to approach new challenges with fresh perspectives and solutions. He prayed for God’s wisdom to guide the governor in undertaking transformative projects that would positively change the face of Delta State.
