ASABA/Nigeria: Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has celebrated the 30th anniversary of THISDAY Newspapers, hailing the publication’s contributions to journalism and societal development.
In a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, Governor Oborevwori praised the Publisher, Prince Nduka Obaigbena, and the newspaper’s management for their commitment to excellence in journalism.
“The government and people of Delta congratulate Prince Nduka Obaigbena and the entire team at THISDAY Newspapers on their 30th anniversary,” Oborevwori said. “As a publication that has its roots in Delta, we are particularly proud of your achievements and your role as a beacon of journalistic integrity.”
He acknowledged the newspaper’s trailblazing efforts, including its full-colour printing debut in 1997 and its triple win as Newspaper-of-the-Year, describing the milestones as “remarkable contributions to the media landscape.”
“As we mark this milestone with you, we wish you greater achievements and continued success in shaping public discourse and promoting societal development,” the governor concluded.
