Governor Oborevwori to Mark First Year in Office with Thanksgiving Service Sunday

ASABA/Nigeria: Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, will celebrate the first anniversary of his administration with a thanksgiving service on Sunday, May 26, 2024.

The event, themed “One Year of Advancing Delta,” is scheduled to take place at the Living Faith Church, Ibusa Road, Asaba, beginning at 10 a.m.

In a statement released by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Sir Festus Ahon, citizens, party faithful, and political stakeholders are invited to join the Governor in expressing gratitude for what has been described as an “amazing year filled with exploits in projects’ delivery and unprecedented human capital development.”

The achievements of the past year are said to be a testament to the MORE Agenda, a comprehensive strategy aimed at enhancing infrastructure and boosting economic growth in Delta State.

“The thanksgiving service is not just a celebration, but a reflection of our collective journey and the progress we have made under the leadership of Governor Oborevwori,” Sir Ahon stated.

“We call on all Deltans to come together to thank God for the strides we have taken in advancing the state.”

Governor Oborevwori’s administration has been lauded for its focus on development and the execution of key projects that have significantly impacted the state’s landscape and its people. The thanksgiving service is expected to be a moment of unity and reflection, bringing together various segments of society to acknowledge the Governor’s vision and accomplishments over the past year.
