ASABA/Nigeria: In a significant move aimed at bolstering strategic communication efforts and fostering effective dissemination of government policies, the Governor of Delta State, Rt Hon Sheriff F.O. Oborevwori, has appointed Dr (Barr.) Wilfred Latimore Oghenesivbe, JP, as the Executive Assistant (Orientation and Communication). The official announcement came through a letter dated November 6, signed by the Secretary to Delta State Government, Dr. Kingsley Emu.
With a mandate extending beyond traditional communication channels, Dr. Oghenesivbe will play a pivotal role in articulating government policies, programs, and achievements. His focus will particularly extend to rural communities, utilizing multifaceted media and publicity strategies under the Orientation portfolio.
Upon receiving the appointment, Dr. Oghenesivbe, a seasoned media and communication strategist, expressed his commitment to the responsibilities bestowed upon him. “As a loyal party man and a core ambassador of the MORE agenda, I accept my new roles and wholeheartedly pledge my loyalty to His Excellency, the Governor, for yet another opportunity to serve the state,” he affirmed.
Highlighting his confidence in the Governor’s leadership, Dr. Oghenesivbe stated, “I strongly believe in the governor’s consummate and visionary leadership, while promising to do my best in the ongoing implementation of the result-oriented policies and programs of this administration.” This appointment signifies a strategic move by the Delta State Government to enhance communication strategies and ensure effective outreach to diverse communities.
