KWALE/Nigeria: The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, have been called to withdraw the recent one month suspension handed over to the immediate past Deputy Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, and member representing the Ndokwa East Constituency, Rt. Hon Friday Ossai Osenebi, saying he was suspended without fair hearing.
According the statement, which was issued by a political pressure group, Osanebi Friday Active Squad, OFA, Comrd Prince Kay Enuenwosu, he said the suspension of sons and daughters of Ndokwa extraction on the political activities of the state had become too frequent, which can be compared to treatment of personal slaves.
He stated that his suspension before hearing from him is a high level of injustice, not right before God.
“Recall Rt. Hon Friday Ossai Osanebi and Grant him fair hearing because the suspension before fair hearing is high level of injustice and big sin to God and humanity.”
He stated that under the government of Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, a lot had been happening to the people of Ndokwa in Delta politics, saying if this continues, it will bring hatred and failure of the party in the area. And called that such action which seems to disenfranchise the area must have to stop.
“A lot have been happening to the Ndokwa People in the Delta State Politics led by Governor Okowa,”
“It is only in Ndokwa Nation that Kings and Political Leaders are suspended like treating personal slaves badly.”
“This ordeal has to stop. We are calling on the PDP Delta State to honourably lift the suspension on Rt. Hon Friday Ossai Osanebi because it’s inhumane, its wickedness and a high show of injustice.”
He asked that where in the world can some be suspended before a panel of enquiry will be setup to hear the suspended person.
“How can you pass judgement before hearing and also constituting Diciplinary Committee to determine more punishment on one whose side have not been heard and critically looked into.”
“We are all human and you people are trying to behave like you are God that owns the earth.”
He accused the party of taken most of his rights and had continued to do so with the suspension. According to him, Osanebi had overtime asked his supporters to keep calm, but with the suspension, the group felt that there is no need to continue to be calm, but to speak out.
Mr. Enuenwosu stated the suspended party chieftain is one of the highest financials of the party in the state.
“At this Junction, we will no longer keep calm, we will openly express our displeasure over the wicked treatments being done against the innocent and youthful House of Assembly Member.”
“You will agree with us that in Ndokwa Nation Rt. Hon Friday Ossai Osanebi is one of the biggest financial of PDP and also one of the biggest contributor to State Government Programs.”
“Ndokwa cannot be treated as slaves in our own land because few greedy elements choose to work for the oppressors of our Nationality and Existence.”
“Ndokwa is known for her Peaceful and Hospitable nature, but will no longer sacrifice truth on the Alter of Peace.”
“We are peacefully and respectfully calling the PDP to lift the unwarranted suspension, if nothing is done, all may never be too well for PDP in Ndokwa Nation.”
