Group Donates N.4 Million To Patient For Kidney Transplant

WARRI/Nigeria: A concerned group known as Children of Drivers and Fishermen Association of the Itsekiri nation (CODAFA), has donated the sum of N400,000.00 (four hundred thousand naira) to one Mrs Odemi Ogbemi for her kidney transplant.

The group which seeks to ameliorate the standard of living of Itsekiris in the state, were at the residence of Mrs. Ogbemi today to show love and concern for her health.

Presenting the cash sum to her, the president of the association, Mr Bawo Eyeoyibo, said the group will not relent in its efforts to assist her for her regular medication needed before the kidney transplant.

He, however, assured Mrs Ogbemi that the group will partner with all sons and daughters of the Warri Kingdom to ensure that she gets the money needed for her transplant.

The CODAFA president noted that with such gestures like this, the Itsekiri nation can testify of much love towards each other in times of need, adding that the association is here to stay since its mission is to unite Itsekiris through love for one another.
