SAPELE/Nigeria: The State Coordinator of Team Ibori for Okowa 2019, Hon. Edmond Guanah, has congratulated the Anchor Person of the group, Hon. Chief Faith Majemite, on her election and swearing in as the Chairman, Ethiope East Local Government Council and the other 24 council Chairmen.
Speaking after a stakeholders meeting of Team Ibori for Okowa 2019 in Sapele recently, he said the emergence of the 25 Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) council Chairmen is a clear handwork of the great party because the party campaigned down to the grassroot and mobilized supporters which made massive defection from opposition parties to PDP.
Hon. Guanah said that the landslide victory of the PDP in the local government election is a manifestation that the party is solidly on the ground in the state and will not rest on its oars to ensure that the party wins all the elections in 2019.
He further said that Team Ibori for Okowa 2019 will soon embark on inaugurating all the local government areas Coordinators, Executives and Wards cut across the 25 Council areas in the state because all hands must be on deck in returning the State Governor, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, to Government House, Asaba, in 2019.
