Guwor Congratulates Newly Elected APC Delta Leadership, Urges Unity and Inclusive Party Administration

ASABA/Nigeria: Chairman of the Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures in Nigeria and Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Dennis Guwor, has congratulated the newly elected leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta State following the successful conduct of the party’s state congress.

Guwor extended his warm felicitations to members of the State Working Committee of the party, expressing confidence that the new leadership under Chief Solomon Arenyeka would further consolidate and strengthen the party’s growing influence and organizational structure in the state.

In a congratulatory message conveyed through his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Nkem Nwaeke, the Speaker described the emergence of the new executive as a reflection of the confidence and trust reposed in them by party faithful across Delta State.

He noted that the affirmation of the new leadership during the well-attended state congress held at the Cenotaph in Asaba underscored the collective support of party members and their readiness to work together in advancing the objectives of the APC.

“Leadership comes with both honour and responsibility, and I am confident that the new executive will justify this mandate by promoting unity, strengthening internal democracy, and advancing the collective aspirations of our party faithfuls across Delta State,” Guwor stated.

The Speaker emphasized that as Chairman of the Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures in Nigeria, he recognizes the critical role vibrant and well-structured political parties play in deepening democratic governance in the country.

According to him, constructive engagement among political actors, healthy competition of ideas and the pursuit of people-oriented policies remain fundamental to achieving sustainable development and effective governance.

He therefore urged the newly elected party leadership to prioritize inclusiveness, reconciliation and collaboration in their activities, stressing the need to ensure that all stakeholders within the party structure are carried along.

“The progress of Delta State must remain our shared commitment beyond political affiliations,” Guwor added.

He further wished the new APC Delta State executive a successful and impactful tenure as they assume the responsibility of leading the party in the state.
