Guwor Reassures Deltans of Legislative Backing for Oborevwori’s Development Agenda in 2026

ASABA/Nigeria: Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Emomotimi Dennis Guwor, has extended New Year greetings to Deltans, assuring them of the legislature’s continued commitment to advancing development across the state as 2026 unfolds.

In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Nkem Nwaeke, the Speaker said the House would remain steadfast in supporting the policies and programmes of the Delta State Government and the Federal Government throughout the 2026 fiscal year, in line with its constitutional responsibilities.

Guwor commended Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for what he described as consistent and focused leadership, particularly in the areas of infrastructure development, economic empowerment, social welfare and good governance. He expressed confidence that the new year would record even greater achievements for the state.

The Speaker, who represents Warri South West Constituency and also serves as National Treasurer of the Conference of Speakers of State Houses of Assembly, called on all stakeholders to remain united and committed to the collective task of developing Delta State.

“As we bid farewell to 2025, let us welcome 2026 with hope, unity and resilience,” Guwor said, expressing optimism that the year would usher in prosperity for Delta State and Nigeria as a whole.

He further prayed for sustained peace and progress in the state, urging citizens to uphold the values of love, compassion and determination in their daily engagements.

“As we step into a new year, let us recommit ourselves to the shared goals of peace, progress and development for Delta State. May our collective efforts be guided by resilience, faith and a strong determination to make our state better for all,” the Speaker added, while wishing Deltans a joyful, blessed and prosperous New Year.
