ASABA/Nigeria: The Delta State Commissioner for Lands and surveys Hon Chika Ossai has said that half payment of assessment fees have been a Major setback for quick processing of Certificate Of Occupancy in the state.
The Commissioner stated this in an interview with newsmen in his office recently.
He said a lot of certificate of occupancy are ready for collection but the owners are not forth coming for the collection and called On those whose C Of O are under process to always check Fast track office to known the stage of their certificate of occupancy.
He advised developers to pay their assessment fees in full for easy and quick processing of certificate of occupancy.
Hon Chika Ossai said so far ministry of Lands and surveys and Fast track office has recorded a lot of success in processing and issuance of certificate of occupancy.
The commissioner said machineries have been put in place to put off Sharp practices in the ministry and appealed to developers to ensure that they regularize their land titles and desist from building on government Land illegally.
