Health Innovation Hub to Discuss Sectoral Innovations

Abuja/Nigeria: As many innovations have been recorded in the health sector, stakeholders have concluded arrangements to take a closer look at the development and the monumental impact it has created in the area.

The event is to hold on Thursday, 20th September 2018 and it is organised by Health Innovation Hub, Nigeria.

Tagged “The Health Innovation Hub Thought Leadership (Talk) Session”, the organisers said, “is one of the platforms’ strategic focus is to host thought leadership as well as conversation sessions on health Innovation.

“These are series of panel discussions forum, workshops using varying media covering different knowledge areas targeted at the healthcare innovation value chain to inspire, build capacity and set the stage for innovative iterations in health in Nigeria”.

In a program brief made available to News Headquarter, Dr. Kunle Kakanfo, the Co-Founder of the hub, the main objective of this talk session is to get the conversation on health innovation on, inspire or spark the drive for innovating for health & to bring to fore the discussions on health innovation leading to home driven actions that will inadvertently contribute to midwifing improvements in the health system.

“For this edition holding at Civic Innovation Lab (Civic Hall) 50 Adetokunbo Ademola Crescent, Beside H-Medix Pharmacy, Wuse II, Abuja featuring amazing panelist alongside other resource as Ife Adebayo, Special Assistant (SA) to the Vice-President of Nigeria on Innovation and Entrepreneurship and Ifeanyi Nsofor (Dr.), CEO of EpiAFRIC/ Director of Policy and Advocacy at Nigeria Health Watch and 2018 New Voices Fellow at the Aspen Institute.

Others billed to form the panel are: 2006 Ford Foundation International Fellow, Henri Onyemachi (Dr) CEO, Redbridge Healthcare Group and convener, Employee Medical Benefits Conference and Exhibition; Dr Kelechi Okoro (@healthertainer, CEO Healthertainer Consults) Popular Social media Health Influencer/ Strategist and Executive Director Heal for Africa Initiative.; Dr Dirisu Osasuyi ,International Health research advocate & Consultant and Shogo Bidemi (a Bill & Melinda Gates Health Innovation grant prize Awardee & Health innovator) who would be sharing his health innovation story.

“The event is a free event as part of our social enterprise drive, but participants would be required to register online (compulsory) and come to the event with the ticket; our audience would be from a wide array participants ranging from the general public with interest in health, health care innovation enthusiasts, techies, nurses, doctors, idea-rist, biomedicals, pharmacists, healthcare policymakers, tech communities, hackers, software developers, mobile app developers, agro-health technicians, scientist, endusers, health development practitioners, donor community, health start ups, HIHN community members, among others.
