ABUJA/Nigeria: The Abuja branch of the Ndokwa Neku Union, NNU, had called on organs of government incharge of securing life and properties to carry out their constitutional duties to stop the activities of Fulani Herdsmen that had turned many section of the country into death zones.
The branch, through the chairman Mr. Ossai Udom, gave the charge in a press statement made available to Ndokwa Reporters, while reacting to the death of three youths who were killed by herdsmen on their way to their farm.
Mr Udom while condoling the families said, stated that the traditional rulers, key cultural associations, and all stakeholders to rise to their responsibility, to put an end to the frequent unprovoked attacks by the herdsmen.
“We Condole the Families of those 3 youngmen whose lives were cut down without provocation by the terrorist Fulani herdsmen at Owah-Abbi.”
“We ,through this medium, call on the traditional rulers and key Cultural Associations and Stakeholders to rise up to the occasion by mobilizing Ndokwa persons to protest this matter to the State Government, Commissioner Of Police Delta State, and federal Government.”
To avoid further death, the statement adviced those who from the affected communities, to bring out those who had been sheltering the killer herdsmen to be exposed so that the can account for the contributions towards the continuous presence of the herdsmen in the area, which had for long had led to the death of many persons.
“We call on the greedy fellows amongst us, who for paltry sums, accommodate these murderers, should be called out to account for their complicity”
“We cannot afford to be living in fear in our own homeland across Ndokwa and Nigeria at large.”
