OGHARA/Nigeria: The Newly sworn in executive Chairman Ethiope West Council Hon Nelson Oghenedoro Owoso has taken over the affairs of the council.
He stated that he needs cooperation from all to enable him pilot the affairs of the council effectively, he also solicited peace so that more Development can come, adding that if there’s no peace development cannot drive.
Present at the handing over ceremony are the Vice Chairman Hon Austin Atomre, the treasurer to the local government Mrs Victoria Fregene Silo, the assistant director of finance Mr Stanley obiebe, head of departments and some PDP leaders.
He added that it was necessary for him to make people the trust of the council activities so as to emancipate the people from poverty to prosperity.
He noted that many people at the grassroots are still living below the poverty line he added that there was a need for him to pay special attention to the most vulnerable.
Meanwhile Owoso promise people of Ethiope west that he will formulate a policies and programme that will impact positively on the economic well-being of our people and move them from poverty to prosperity.
He commended Ethiope west people for their support, turnout and peaceful conduct of the election, which was conducted in a free, fair and credible atmosphere.
