The Transition Chairman of Ukwuani Local Government Area, Hon Ochor C. Ochor had called on the people of Ndokwa to shield their individual swords and work in Unity with one another. The Transition Chairman stated this when he was addressing the Ndokwa Political Stakeholders Forum (NPSF) in Obiaruku.
The chairman, says that the Ndokwa people to get what they want politically, they need to come together to settle the internal issues affecting the area. He decried the attitude of hatred and says this had resulted in self-marginalization. According to him, the Ndokwa people are crying against marginalization, but looking critically he said, the Ndokwa Man had first inflicted marginalization on himself.
On Ndokwa Nation and the National Conference
Speaking with Ndokwa Reporters before living the venue, Hon Ochor C. Ochor says the proposed dialogue is a welcomed one, and again emphasized the need to look beyond self and think of the collective gain of the Ndokwa People. He called on the people to start the process of having a hand shake with other groups in Nigeria, especially in Delta state.
When asked of what should be the Ndokwa Agenda on the National Conference he says everything that will make the area move forward. He recalled the fact that after the Urhobos, the next ethnic group in the state is the Ndokwa People, and as a result they should take their proper place in the area of politics, governance and economy. And this should be spelt out at the conference.

The Transition Committee Chairman says for the past one year, his government had being able to provide some of the necessary needs of the people of Ukwuani LGA. He talked on the Subsidy Reinvest Programme (SURE-P). He said that the trainees for the programme will be graduating on the 31st of October, 2013. To him they have prepared them for a better future.
