“I am in the Race to Solve the Problems of Ndokwa East”, Ugbomah

ASABA/Nigeria: A front contender to the Ndokwa East Constituency Seat, in the Delta State House of Assembly, and a member of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Engr. Philip Chukwumah Ugbomah, has stressed that the reason he is aspiring to represent the people of the area, is to initiate solutions that will alleviate the pains and sufferings of people the area had been faced with for years.

Speaking during his consultation with the chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Olorogun, Kingsley Esiso on Thursday, August 9, 2018, Engr Ugbomah stated that Ndokwa East has a peculiar terrain, that need engineering techniques to solve, and he is in a better position to attract such development.

He stated that the main problem of the area is road issue, and need to be solved with civil engineering techniques to achieve the linking of the various communities with road networks, which can only be achieved through the use of local content.

“The peculiar road issue in Ndokwa East need local content application to solve, and being a civil engineer, I have that local content solution.” He said.

Speaking further, Engr. Ugbomah pleaded with Barr. Esiso for the party to allow for free and fair primaries for the party to get it right, to avoid any backlash of the progress already gained.

“Sir, I have to plead with you, that the party under tour watch allows for free and fair primaries. This had been your continuous assurance, and this had been the line of taught of our amiable governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa. I am confident with you, and the governor that this will be applied.”

Engr. Ugbomah told the chairman that what he is bringing to the race is value reorientation, and entrepreneurship training of youths, which to a large extent will be the only way that the people can grow, and the area will witness development.

He stated that being a person that supports the SMART Agenda of the present government, as the programme is a holistic one which is focussed on human capital and other developmental issues that Ndokwa East is cleaving to get.

He called for the presentation of candidates to the electorates who have a clean slate, without blemish that will not hunt the party, after the primaries.

“We as a party should present candidates with clean slates. We should avoid imposition, knowing after the primaries, comes the elections. We have to follow and ensure internal democracy to get our candidates.”

“This process will now position our great party, PDP, for victory at the polls.” He emphasised.

In his speech, the State Chairman of the PDP, Olorogun Kinsley Esiso, reiterated his earlier call on aspirants to go to the grassroot, and appeal to the conscious of the people.

“I had said it at different gatherings, and we will not backout on that, there will be no imposition, as I have no special aspirant. Everyone must go, work at the grasroot, appeal to the delegates. That is our position, and its not changed.
