Late Joseph Pessu

WARRI/Nigeria: In the midst of different version of what led to the shooting to death of the late Joseph Pessu, a 28 years Deltan who was killed by what can be termed a trigger happy Army personnel, the father of the late Joseph, Mr. Monday Pessu, had expressed his feeling that the late son was marked out to be killed, and the errant soldier was commissioned to carryout the deadly act.
In an Interview with the vanguard Newspaper, Mr. Pessu appealed to the authourities who are involved in the investigation to prevail on the soldier to expose those who recruited him for kill his son.
Mr Pessu said he was surprised to hear what happened to my son on the second day of this lockdown in Warri. According to him, the son went to Ubeji and a soldier stopped him, and he stopped according to the boy who was in the vehicle with Joseph, and he stopped, the soldier talked with him.
“My son drove off, and the soldier opened fire on the vehicle, the bullet touched my son at the waist. My son still managed the vehicle to get to Ugbuwangwe.”
“The soldier halted another vehicle with the force of his gun, entered it and told the driver to chase my son. He pursued my son to Ugbuwangwe and as my son was coming down from his vehicle the soldier got close to him and shot him three times and he died on the spot.”
Mr Pessu, said Joseph has two children, and would had been 28 years by end of April 2020. He appealed that all he wants is justice to be delivered in the death of his son.
