ABOH/Nigeria: The Commissioner for lands, Surveys and Urban Development Hon Chika Ossai has declared his intention to join the race for the State House of Assembly Election come 2019.
Hon Chika Ossai made his intention known in an large meeting of PDP faithfuls, friends and his supporters from Ndokwa east local government area of Delta state which took place in his country home In Iselegu.
He said having listen to several callings from friends , Ndokwa East Youths Association, market women and some political leaders from Ndokwa east constituency, he decided to join the Delta state House of Assembly election race.
The commissioner who took time to thank the people for their support for Senator Ifeanyi Okowa’s administration and appealed to them to equip themselves for the race by going to register for their permanent Voters Card PVC’.
Hon Chika Ossai said voters card is very important to all Ndokwa east sons and daughters adding that given him a maximum support without Voters the card may endanger his aspiration for the State House of Assembly seat.
He urged those who are yet to register for their permanent voters’ card, to go and register before it’s too late and appealed to the people of Ndokwa east to give him a maximum support that will enable him realized his aspiration.
While thanking the PDP faithfuls, youths and Ashaka market women for calling on him to join the race , Hon Chika Ossai stated that he has all it takes to win the race adding that he did not join the race to fight anybody but to serve and bring the needed change to area.
He urged them to go back to their various wards and start spreading the gospel which according to him is a Divine project not for him alone but for the entire people of Ndokwa east.
Speakers at the meeting took time to eulogize the peaceful and leadership quality of Hon Chika Ossai and urged him not to relent in his political ambition.
The leader of Ashaka market women Association Mrs Juliet Odili pledged the unalloyed support for the aspirations of Hon Chika Ossai.
The meeting featured ovations and cultural dance.
