LAGOS/Nigeria: Business leaders, change-management professionals and other industry stakeholders are expected to converge in Lagos next week for discussions on how organisations can turn transformation initiatives into measurable improvements in performance and growth.
The Institute of Change Management (ICM) will host its 2026 Annual Conference on September 3 and 4 at NECA House, Alausa, Ikeja, with the programme designed around practical approaches to managing change, strengthening organisations and improving individual and business performance.
The conference, which will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day, is themed “Unleashing Change, Accelerating Impact: Harnessing Transformation to Drive Personal growth and business excellence.”
Group Managing Director of Sahara Group, Mr Kola Adesina, is scheduled to deliver the keynote address, while Dr Catherine Nwosu, Managing Director of Africa Prudential Plc, is among the featured speakers.
Other speakers on the programme include Barrister Samuel Olushola Agbeluyi, immediate past President of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria; Mr Jeremiah Okoh, co-founder and CEO of Jeme Technologies; and Dr Odunayo Ani, Director of Financial Services at the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency.
The line-up also includes Mr Oluseye Olutimayin of the Presidential Committee on Economic and Financial Inclusion; Mrs Ijeoma Onyenobi, Head of Diversity and Inclusion at Nigeria LNG Limited; and Mr Edidiong Ekwere, listed by ICM among the conference speakers.
The organisers said the conference would examine the practical challenges associated with organisational transformation, including how leaders can secure ownership of change programmes, manage resistance and sustain improvements after major initiatives have been introduced.
Discussions are expected to cover leadership, organisational culture, innovation, digital transformation, diversity and inclusion, workforce changes and business excellence.
Rather than limiting the programme to discussions about the need for change, the organisers said participants would be exposed to practical frameworks, case studies and tools that can be applied in workplaces and professional settings.
The conference is expected to attract executives, entrepreneurs, human resources practitioners, policymakers, change-management specialists and emerging leaders from both the public and private sectors.
ICM’s official programme describes the gathering as a two-day event featuring expert-led sessions, panel conversations, interactive workshops, peer engagements and opportunities for industry knowledge exchange.
The institute said the conference is also intended to provide opportunities for participants to develop professional networks and exchange ideas with others dealing with organisational and workplace transformation.
The 2026 conference follows an earlier announcement in July in which ICM unveiled Adesina and Nwosu among the headline speakers and positioned the event as a platform for examining how organisations and individuals can respond to rapid change through innovation, resilience and strategic leadership.
