EFFURUN/Nigeria:The Senior Special Assistant to the Delta State Governor on Community Development, Dr Patrick Ighomrore, has congratulated the Delta State Commissioner for Economic Planning, Sonny Akporokiamo Ekedayen, on the occasion of his birthday, describing him as a public servant whose work continues to resonate beyond government offices and into local communities.
In a birthday message, Ighomrore said Ekedayen has distinguished himself as a planner who understands that development must be both strategic and people-driven, noting that economic policies only achieve meaning when they translate into visible improvements in the lives of citizens.
He observed that under Ekedayen’s watch, planning processes in the state have increasingly reflected the realities at the grassroots, allowing community needs to find expression in government programmes and long-term development projections.
According to Ighomrore, this alignment between economic planning and community development has strengthened public confidence in governance, while also ensuring that development initiatives are inclusive, measurable, and sustainable across Delta State.
