IGP Senate Summon: Group BeratesYusuf Ali for Displaying His Absolute Ignorance To The Public

ABUJA/Nigeria: The United Young Professionals has called on Yusuf Ali, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kaduna State to get used to watching Television and probably read Newspapers if his phone is not internet connected to read news update across the country.

This was contained in a press released on Sunday in Abuja by the National Coordinator of the United Young Professionals, Adewole Kehinde reacting to a publication in an online media; “APC chieftain says IGP may end up on the wrong side of history.”

“We wish to remind Yusuf Ali that Inspector-General of Police, IGP Ibrahim Idris was in Bauchi State on the day of the first invitation by the Senate for official assignment with the President and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces and the IGP was in Kaduna State, Birnin Gwari to be precise on the second invitation of the IGP by the Senate, Adewole said.

Adewole reiterated that as the life of Senator representing Kogi west, Dino Melaye is important to the Senate so also the lives of Birnin Gwari people important to the Inspector General of Police.

“The Inspector General of Police has not disregard the nation’s democratic institutions; it is high time politicians stop playing politics with security matter.

“It is saddening that Yusuf Ali could stoop so low to say that the IGP has chosen to ‘dance on the grave of the innocent without even showing a modicum of respect for the souls that have departed’.

Adewole said, “To correct the erroneous impression by Yusuf Ali witlessness, IGP Ibrahim Idris never disrespected President Buhari direct orders on the killings in Benue state, hence retaining his job as the Inspector General of Police.

“We call on Yusuf Ali to tell Nigerians and especially the security agencies what he knew about the Birnin Gwari crisis; warranting him to be angry with the Inspector General of Police for coming to the rescue of the people, the statement ended.
