ASABA/Nigeria: Delta State Institute of Continuing Education (ICE) has said that the Institute is yielding tremendous results in line with the objectives of its establishment.
The acting Director of the Institute, Mr. Edwin Chukwuma Onyema stated this in Asaba while fielding questions from newsmen.
Mr. Onyeme, who hinted that the Institute had produced over 35,000 graduates in both National and Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes, noted that the Institute started as a school for those who could not acquire formal at some point in their lives education but were determined to do so through the Institute.
He said that with ICE one could be working and at the same time achieve their education pursuit with ease, adding that the Institute had continued to provide remedial programmes for interested individuals.
Mr. Onyema said that ICE also provided enabling environment for people to acquire relevant skills that could change their lives for the better.
He lauded the Delta State Government for its supportive role to the Institute, describing it as very important to change the narrative, especially in its determination to redefine the education sector.
Mr. Onyema stated that Delta ICE had a memorandum of understanding with Akanibian Polytechnic, Afigbo for the running of certain national diploma and HND programmes, emphasising that it also had an understanding with the Delta State Polytechnic at some point.
