Emevor: The people of Otor-Iyede in Isoko north local government area, has expressed gratitude to the Delta state government for approving the establishment of a Magistrate Court in the area, noting that it will help to bring justice closer to the people and reduce the high unemployment rate.
Speaking during the formal Commissioning of the Magistrate Court, by the Delta state Chief Judge, the President-General of Otor-Iyede Community and other indegenes described the project as laudable, as there will be no need for the people to go to Ozoro or Oleh for legal issues in no longer neccessary.
Chief Judge of Delta State Hon Justice Umukoro had earlier declare the carving out of the Emevor magistrate district and for its jurisdiction to cover all the towns and villages in Iyede Clan, Isoko north local government of Delta state.
On the request by some of the Community leaders for the indigenes to be considered in judicial appointments, the Chief Judge also promised to pick one judge from Isoko north, out of the five judges that will be appointed soon.
