Isoko South Chairman Tasks Newly Sworn-In Officials on Commitment to Service

OLEH/Nigeria: The Chairman of Isoko South Local Government Area, Delta State, Comrade Friday Ovoke Warri, has called on newly appointed officials to view their roles as a call to service, emphasizing the importance of dedication to the people of Isoko South.

Warri made this statement on Tuesday at the council’s office in Oleh during the swearing-in ceremony of Zion Osuofa as the new Secretary to the Local Government and Mrs. Beauty Omu as the Supervising Councillor representing Aviara Ward 03.

Addressing the appointees, Comrade Warri highlighted the full commencement of his ‘Warri for Your Worries’ agenda, pledging to focus on improving the living standards of the people and ensuring the equitable distribution of democratic dividends. He affirmed his commitment to fulfilling his campaign promises, assuring the people of Isoko South that his administration would remain gender-friendly.

In his charge to the new Secretary, Warri urged Osuofa to maintain harmonious relationships between career officers and political appointees within the council, stressing that a united front is essential to achieving the administration’s goals. He also encouraged the newly sworn-in officials to foster peaceful coexistence, unity, and love, urging them to work as a formidable team to realize both his ‘Warri For Your Worries’ agenda and the ‘MORE’ agenda of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.

The council chairman expressed gratitude to the Delta State House of Assembly, led by Speaker Guwor Emomotimi, for promptly screening and confirming Osuofa’s appointment as Secretary to the Local Government. Warri noted that the collaboration between the legislative arm and the council remains pivotal in driving development in the local government area.

In attendance at the swearing-in ceremony were the Vice Chairman of the council, Theresa Ikrike; Leader of the Legislative Arm, Friday Olokor; Special Adviser to the Chairman, Efe Philip Okolosi-Ozoro; Head of Personnel Management, Mrs. Iroro Mary Ofogbo; Isoko South PDP Chairman, Victor Ekelegha; Delta State Assistant Youth Leader, Felix Aluta; and the immediate past Isoko South PDP Chairman, Godspower Obaro.

Comrade Warri reiterated his administration’s commitment to ensuring that the people of Isoko South enjoy the benefits of good governance and urged all stakeholders to work together in advancing the development of the local government area.
