Isoko South Council Chairman Leads Delegation on Condolence Visit to Late Dr. Eddy Ugboma’s Family

OLEH/Nigeria: The Chairman of Isoko South Local Government Area, Friday Ovoke Warri, has led a high-powered delegation to pay a condolence visit to the family of the late Dr. Eddy Ugboma at his residence in Oleh, the administrative headquarters of the council.

Dr. Ugboma, who served as Secretary to the Isoko South Local Government Area from June 2003 to July 2004, passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2025. He was also the father of renowned comedian Bovi.

Speaking during the visit, Warri described the late Ugboma as a distinguished elder statesman, accomplished administrator, academic, and historian whose contributions to governance and community development left an indelible mark on Isoko South and Delta State.

“Apart from being a consummate politician, Dr. Ugboma was a community leader who demonstrated a profound commitment to his people and made significant contributions to the development of the Ivrogbo-Irri community,” Warri stated.

He eulogized the late Ugboma as a devoted patriot who lived a life of integrity and dedication, adding, “On behalf of the government and people of Isoko South, I pray for the repose of his soul and ask God to grant his family the strength to bear this irreparable loss.”

Warri urged the bereaved family to take solace in the legacy of their late patriarch and the impact he made in his lifetime.

The council chairman was accompanied by his Special Adviser, Okolosi Efe, Councillor representing Oleh Ward, Onoriode Obeuwou, Ovie Akpotu, and other top officials of the local government.
