Lagos to Host Reimagine Education Conference: Focusing on AI and Transformative Education in Nigeria

LAGOS/Nigeria: Lagos, Nigeria’s commercial capital, is gearing up to welcome over 200 stakeholders from the education sector on Friday, March 22, 2024, at the Landmark Events Centre, Victoria Island. The event, organized by Reimagine Education (RIE), will center on discussions about innovation in higher education in the era of Artificial Intelligence.

The theme of the conference, “What a Transformative Education can do for Nigeria,” underscores the importance of innovative learning models in addressing Africa’s grand challenges. Key figures such as Ayopeju Njideaka, CEO/Lead facilitator of NurtureHouse Consulting, and Mr. Veda Sunassee, CEO of Africa Leadership University, are expected to attend.

Kayta Nyangi, Director of Marketing – Strategy and Outreach at ALU, expressed enthusiasm about the upcoming event, highlighting its timeliness in fostering collaborative discussions on innovative education. “We are ready for the upcoming ReImagine Roundtable Event in Lagos this month,” said Kayta. “So far, there has been tremendous interest from education experts, and we envisage to host a diverse range of experts who will drive this talk on innovative education, which is paramount in solving the challenges of Africa and the world today.”

The conference aims to promote networking among attendees, including educators, colleagues from universities in Nigeria, and other education stakeholders. Additionally, it seeks to forge valuable connections that will elevate Africa’s educational standards.

Attendees can look forward to a showcase of ALU’s Innovative Learning Model, designed to ignite homing skills and outcomes among students across Africa. The event will also feature a panel discussion on Ubiquitous and lifelong learning, along with workshops on Self-Directed Learning, Leadership for Innovation, and Teaching Emotional Intelligence.

The Reimagine Education Conference, held periodically, brings together visionaries, educators, counselors, parents, discerning students, and other stakeholders in open dialogue on the current and future state of education administration in Africa. Over the years, the collaborative discussions at the conference have driven meaningful change in the higher education sector in several African countries.
