Leaders of Ethiope East Backs PDP Candidates, Charges Mobilisation to Victory In The 2023 Elections

ISIOKOLO/Nigeria: The leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ethiope East Local Government Area had assured the party in Delta State of their preparedness for victory at the polls in 2023.

The leaders of the party gave their resolution at the Isiokolo ground of the party’s Campaign Rally for the 2023 elections when the State Party Campaign Council visited the area on Tuesday, January 10, 2023.

While welcoming the campaign trail, the Chairman of the party in the Area, Mr Erhimedafe Felix, appreciated the Governor, Senator, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa for his attention to the area, especially in the area of human and physical development, and for removing the youths from activities that will likely make them prone to criminal activities, and his promise to hand over to a person from the Urhobo extraction in 2023. He stated that the party in the area is supporting all the candidates, without any exception.

“We the people of Ethiope East are behind all PDP candidates in 2023. We don’t have any exceptions. This is to show our confidence in the party, and as an appreciation to the State Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa for his attention to the area.”

“Your Excellency, you have given attention to the people of Ethiope East Local Area in the area of physical and human capital development. You had also given attention to our youths through the YAGEP and STEP training. This has removed our youths from the unemployment market and from the streets and activities that are likely prone to crimine.”

“Our Governor, these you had done for us, and there is nothing we can do for you, but to vote for you as a Vice-President, and vote for all our candidates.” He stated.

Other leaders from the LGA who spoke during the rally were. Chief Tony Olowori, Loveth Idisi, Abel Esiovo, and Chief Mike Adiotomre.

On his part, Chief Abel Esievo thanked the people for their massive support for the party, charging the members and supporters to translate the mobilisation to vote for the party, as all the party needs is to secure every vote for the party and all the candidates of the party towards victory.

“My people, I am here to thank you for the good things you had been doing for our party, because when the Government does a good thing for you, and you come out in this large number to show appreciation, it gladdens the heart of the Governor and the party to do more.”

“Please let us translate what is happening here to the polling booth. We don’t want any of our slots to go out, if we look at it, we want the President, we want the Governor, we want the Senator, we want the House of Representatives and the State House of Assembly.” He concluded.

On his part, a former member of the House of Representatives, Chief Loveth Idise, said the party in the area had mobilised for the party, and to deliver for the party all the five slots that will be on the ballot. He also called on the youths of the party and from Ethiope East not to be deceived by the Obedient movement, as the movement has no structure.

“I am here to tell you that we in Ethiope East have mobilised to deliver for the party all the candidates of the PDP that will be on the ballot.”

“And for the youths, the Obi you preach today have no structure within the Local Government. He cannot reach out to you in terms of empowerment. Follow who sabi, follow who sabi road with structure, follow that structure so that we can have the road to Abuja and the  Presidency.”

Also, Chief Tony Olowori, told the campaign trail, that the mobilisation at the campaign rally is a manifestation of what is going to happen during the polls, as they have no excuses not to win, as the candidate for the Governorship position is from the Urhobo extraction.

He, therefore, urged members to collect their Permanent Voters Card, PVC as it’s the only way to achieve victory for the party, as the collection is still open.

“I want to assure you today, that what you are seeing here today, is a manifestation of what is going to happen during the polls. We have no excuse this time not to win because the Governorship candidate himself is from the Urhobo extraction.”

“I, therefore, urge every member of this party, to go and pick up your PVC. It’s still open. Go and pick your PVC.” He advised.

Another foremost leader of the party in the area, Chief Mike Adiotomre, thanked the Governor, for allowing the free selection of the aspirants of the party, which produced a credible candidate for the party in the person of the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori.

Chief Adiotomre assured the party, that all the candidates will be given a winning vote, as they are ready to deliver heavy votes for all the candidates.

“We in the Ethiope East are very happy, that you had given us very credible candidates. We, therefore, want to assure you, we shall give all of them winning votes, and we shall deliver very heavy votes for all the candidates.” He said.

Meanwhile, the State Party Chairman, Olorogun Kingsley Esiso, appreciated the leadership of the party in the area for their massive mobilisation for the rally, and that the mobilisation shows that the people of the area are very much ready to chase out the All Progressives Congress, APC out of Government out of Aso Rock, as the people are very tired of their misrule.

“I want to thank you, that what we are seeing here today, indicates that the people of Ethiope East are ready, very much ready to chase out the APC Government out of Aso Rock.”

“This massive mobilisation shows that the people are tired. Very much tired.” He stated.

On his part, the Delta State Governor, and Vice-Presidential Candidate of the party, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa assured Nigerians that voting for the PDP in 2023, will help rebuild the country, as they are willing to assist States on State police and end the issue of strikes in the Nigerian Universities.

“They have killed our economy such that they have borrowed over N100 trillion but we will recover and rebuild our country because we did it before in 1999.

“All our Federal roads in the State are impassable; twice I wanted to intervene for the Sapele-Agbor road and they stopped us because it’s a Federal road.

“But thank God that I am going to Abuja and we will ensure that all Federal roads are attended to.

“The APC also destroyed our education sector with the eight-month ASUU strike that kept our children at home for so long. But, throughout the period of the strike, all our universities in Delta State were in session.

“They were in session because we have taken care of all they needed for the educational advancement of the State.

“So, for Delta State to continue on the path of progress and development, let’s vote for all candidates of the PDP,” he said.

Immediate past Governor of the State, Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan, urged the people to vote for all PDP candidates to enable Governor Okowa to become the Vice-President of the country.

He said a vote for the party would ensure the proper allocation of oil resources produced from the State.

Those who spoke at the rally were also the Governorship candidate of the party, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, and the Director of the Campaign Council, Rt. Hon. Funkekeme Solomon.
