Let Us Pray More for Nigeria in the Spirit of Easter-Ochor

WARRI/Nigeria: Nigerians hav been called to be more spiritual and ask for God’s intervention in the affairs of the country, as the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ is being celebrated by the world.

In a statement by the Executive Director, Social Services Directorate, Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, DESOPADEC, Hon Christopher Ochor Ochor, while wishing Deltans a fruitful celebration of the yearly event of Easter, said that what the country requires more at this stage is prayer to help overcome majority of woes afflicting the country.

According to him, the season of Easter is a period of deep prayers, and reflection, and it is a period to help pray for the problems of Nigeria.

“Easter is the Christians’ celebration of the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, and Nigerians should use it to pray more for the development of the country, the security situation and above all, the unity of the nation”

Hon Ochor reminded Nigerians that Christ died for the sake of mankind, and for the development of every nation on earth, to live a life of purity, and as such the country need nothing more at this time of her life than to look more unto God.

While congratulating Deltans for witnessing another Year of celebrating Christ resurrection, he tasked them to pray for those in authority, especially in Delta state.

He reminded the people of the state that for the government to achieve its policies, like the policy of Prosperity for All Deltans, can only be achieved when the people join the government through prayers.
