Senator Ifeanyi Okowa
Apparently satisfied with the level of development they feel he has brought to Delta State since his appointment as a secretary to his present position as a senator representing Delta North in the national Assembly, the people of Ukwuani Local Government have called on Deltans to support Senator Ifeanyi Okowa as the governor, comes 2015 general elections.
Addressing Newsmen at Obiaruku during the weekend, the secretary of the group. Hon Efetubor Dafe said that since the creation of Delta State the people of Delta North, Central and south have never had it so good like the quality representation given by senator Ifeanyi Okowa who is incidentally the Chairman House Committee on Health.
Hon Efetubor Dafe who was a former councilor Ukwuani Local Government Area of the State said that when senator Ifeanyi Okowa was Commissioner in the state ministries and as a secretary to the State Government (SSG), before he was elected as a senator representing Delta North, he Okowa did not just see himself as a Delta North Person but as a son of Delta State, and base on his philosophy as a Delta Man, he represented the three senatorial District equally, stressing that Deltan can testify that he distributed the dividend of democracy evenly to the three senatorial districts.
According to him (Dafe) senator Okowa successfully sited hospitals both General and Central hospitals in the three geo-political district of the state just as he completed more than 80 boreholes projects which spread across the three senatorial district in the state when he was a commissioner for water resources too.
He said although the duties of federal legislature does not includes the execution of projects, he Okowa has influence the execution of many projects in the state, Dafe affirmed.
