Liverpool Records First Champions League, Mauls Maribor 7-0, Real Madrid Held by Resilient Tottenham, Manchester City Wins

Liverpool recorded their first champions league of the campaign when they mauled Maribor 7-0. Liverpool who had earlier struggled with their first two games managing a draw in each of them dominated the match from start to finish and this win moved them to the top of the group after sevilla lost to Spartak Moscow in the other Group E match played.

Manchester City continued their 100% record as they edged past Serie A Leaders Napoli 2-1 in a thrilling encounter. Goals from Sterling and Gabriel Jesus were enough to see them through the end of the match and climb to the top of the Group.
