• As He Receives Award for Resourceful Contribution to 7th Assembly
The Chairman House Committee on Ethics and Privileges, Hon. Ossai Nicholas Ossai Representing Ndokwa/Ukwuani Federal Constituency at the Green Chambers of the National Assembly received an Award for his “Resourceful Contributions to the 7th National Assembly”.
The “Disciples of Democracy Today”, an international organisation known for discovering outstanding performance and exceptional leaders who have contributed to national economic development says one of those legislators whose remarkable performance are worthy of note is Hon. Ossai N. Ossai.
Hon. Prof. Chudi Nwazuruike, a product of Havard University and a former member of the House of Representatives deliberated on the Award Lecture titled “Appeasing The Impact Of Sound Legislative Studies On Parliamentarians In A Developing Democracy” he also emphasised on the need for legislators to work out modalities in ensuring that laws should not only be enacted but also be given room for implementation.
In an interview after the ceremony, Hon. Ossai dedicated his recognition and outstanding performance at the 7th National Assembly to the good people of Ndokwa/Ukwuani for their supports
“Let me first acknowledge that my performance at the 7th Assembly was as a result of the supports I received from my Constituency, I dedicate this award to them”
He said that the impacts of the Award is an added challenge and a call to more work
“When someone is being recognised for something, it’s a clear indication that efforts are recognised, to me the impact of this Award is a call to more work”
When asked about his motivating factors that greased his powers of effectiveness, he said
“Spending time making Effective Legislative Research was the secrete behind my success at the 7th Assembly and I know that haven discovered this, all I have to do is to apply better strategies in my research making to enable me give out the very best not just to my immediate constituency but to Nigeria at large”
