WARRI/Nigeria: In other to save his life against attack by suspected hoodlums in Ogborikoko area of the Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State, a petition had been lodged with the Area Command of Nigeria Police, Warri Area Command by one Mr. Karo Ijala.
The petition which was submitted on behalf of the client by C. E. Umweni Esq, gave a detail explanation on how Mr Karo Ijala was brutally attacked in the evening of December 30, 2021 one Mr Randy Omovie, and nine others because of little domestic argument.
According to him, in the petition titled “Assault, Brutalization, Malicious Damage of Property and Attempted Murder of Karo Ijala”, Mr. Ijala had secured their professional services to pursue the case and protect his life from further harm on his person.
“We have been briefed and our professional services retained by Karo Ijala; hereafter referred to as our client and on whose narration and instruction we lodge this complaint.’
“Our client informed us that about 8.53 AM on the 30th day of December 2021 at Ugborikoko, one Randy Omovie led Atene, Ugboriata, Kelvin Egere, Clement Onomuaborigho,Mesimevwo Ikpesan, David Aleghe and Timothy Poko to his house fully armed with lethal weapons. Whilst in the compound, they summoned and ordered our client who was upstairs in his apartment to come down to meet with them.”
“According to our client, on coming down to meet with them, David Aleghe assaulted him by slapping him on the face and hitting him which made him to scurry back for safety into his apartment.”
“Our client further informed us that he was chased by the above mentioned persons into his apartment where they damaged his property and inflicted bodily harm on his ankle and right foot.”
“Our client was rescued and assisted to escape by some good Samaritans.”
“We were also informed that the immediate catalyst which provoked the attack on our client was a domestic disagreement which he had with one Timothy as to the inappropriateness of hanging clothes on the fence separating the building where our client reside from that of Timothy; a minor issue exploited by Randy Omovie who it was alleged has been suspecting our client as an informant to Kabi Ogolo the special assistant to Uvwie Local Government Council Chairman on hard drugs peddling and consumption.”
“Our client who has been made to flee from home for safety for his life based on the boasting of Randy Omovie that he will pay with his life for espionage activities which our client is innocent of, is constrained to instruct us to lodge this formal complaint for the persons going after him to be brought to justice.”
“We crave your expedited action on our complaint to forestall more harm been visited on our client.” It concluded.
