EFFURUN/Nigeria: The General Overseer of Christ The King Deliverance Church of God, who doubles as the Spiritual Adviser to Ohaneze Ndi-Igbo, Delta South and Delta Central Senatorial District, His Eminence, Most Revd Dr. James Okechukwu (JP) has described Governor Ifeanyi Okowa as a peaceful and visionary leader, even as he called on political office holders in the state not to derail from the developmental pathway of the governor’s SMART Agenda.
Most Revd Okechukwu, made the remark during a routine chat with journalists, Thursday, 5th March, 2018. He praised governor Okowa for piloting the affairs of the state on the path of peace and in the direction of economic revampment.
The man of God also lauded the leadership on Hon. Ramson Onoyake whom he described as a peaceful and patient man. Saying that he (Hon. Ramson) patiently waited upon the Lord before his emergence as the Executive Chairman of Uvwie local government area.
Describing Hon. Onoyake as a man of peace who means well for his people, Most Revd Okechukwu called on the people of Uvwie to shun bickering and garner their support for Hon. Onoyake as he activates his developmental polices to foster socioeconomic development in the council.
He praised Hon. Onoyake for taking a prompt action towards decongesting the Uvwie market stretch of the PTI and Effurun – Sapele roads and easing traffic flow, saying that in the recent past, traffic gridlock resulting from market activities at the Uvwie market posed serious challenge to motorists and commuters who often get stuck in the gridlock for 3 hours or more.
His words, “there is sanity in Uvwie currently. I recall that in the recent past, around the market area, motorists and commuters usually get stuck for hours due to frightening traffic congestion, but currently, that has disappeared as vehicles can move freely, even during “Uvwie market” days. Also, people are no longer beaten up in the bush (developing area) by unruly youths in the name of ‘deve’, which used to be a celebrated practice.”
Continuing, he said, “I thank God for Hon. Onoyake’s life for being patient until this time he emerged as Chairman of Uvwie local government area.
“The bible says the heart of the king is in God’s hand and the name of the Lord is a strong tower, when the righteous runs onto it, he is saved.” Adding, “When the righteous man rules the people rejoice.”
Most Revd Okechukwu prayed to God to use Hon. Onoyake to lead the people of Uvwie on the path of peace and honour, even as he prophesied that the Uvwie L.G.A. Chairman will rise to the peak of his political career at federal level.
He also prayed to God to arrest the hearts of the people of Uvwie to support Hon. Onoyake to deliver on his campaign promise, even as he called on the youths in Uvwie to embrace peace and conduct themselves lawfully.
In the same vein, Most Revd Okechukwu thanked God for the emergence of Hon. Michael Nnajiofor Ezeh as the President General of Ohaneze Ndi-Igbo, Delta South and Delta Central Senatorial District. He tasked Ndi-Igbo on peaceful coexistence, calling on all splinter groups to eschew bickering and come together as one entity to support Hon. Michael Ezeh to rule by God’s will.
