MOTHERING WEEK: Mothers Urged To Be Godly

JAKPA/Nigeria: Dame Mrs Helen Nnamani has called on all mothers to exhibit godly character in order to influence their household and community, positively.

Dame Helen gave this charge today, at St Stephen’s Anglican Church, Jakpa, Effurun in Uvwie Local Government Area, as part of activities, marking this year’s mothering week.

The speaker who took her text from proverb 31 verses 10, encouraged mothers to emulate the character of the virtuous woman as described in that verse.

She advised mothers never to fail in the area of prayers, saying that it would secure their family in Christ.

The event which had mothers colourfully dressed in white attire and green headgear, featured drama presentation, gifts presentation by God children to their God parents and thanksgiving by mothers.

Highpoint of the event was when three mothers: Mr Roseline Ezewu, Mrs Cordelia Omajajah and Mrs Tessy Okode, were honoured as “Adorable mothers.”
