Motorists, Other Road Users In Delta Bemoan Indiscriminate Road Bumps Construction

ASABA/Nigeria: Motorists and other road users have expressed concern over hazard posed by the indiscriminate and unprofessional construction of road bumps in the state.

One motorist who chose to remain anonymous, remarked, saying, “Some individuals on their own discretion construct very high road bumps, across some major roads and streets without consulting the appropriate government authorities.”

These bumps could be seen in numerous roads in the state capital, according to a motorists who called himself Mr. David Akpoguma.

He noted with displeasure: “There is a very high one at the front of Oracle of God Church along Delta Broadcasting Service (DBS) Road, such should be demolished and re-constructed appropriately.”

In the same vein, residents of Eagle Square Road, off Okpanam Road, complained of the proximity of such high bumps in the area.

Motorists are of the opinion that there should be some checks about the indiscriminate construction of bumps by unauthorized individuals or organizations.

They appealed for the right agency of government such as the Ministry of Transport as the case may be, to handle such construction.
