WARRI/Nigeria: Environmental activist and a House of Assembly hopeful in Warri South West Local Government Area, Comrade Sheriff Mulade has applauded Governor Okowa for backing his words with action, noting that Governor Okowa is a man of his words. The House of Assembly hopeful said, “if Okowa tells you this is what I will do, and that’s exactly what he (Okowa) will do even if it will inconvenience him to do so. I sincerely appreciate him for standing by his words.”
“Governor Okowa advice to all the political appointees contesting for various political office in the 2019 general election to resign their appointment before the end of the week, noting that this is in line with our great party, PDP, guideline for the conduct of primaries.”
Governor Okowa advice all political appointees contesting for various political office ahead of 2019 general election to go back home and lock themselves and think and consult their oracles, and summit their resignation letter before the weekend, noting that nobody should use his name (Okowa) or any government official to campaign stressing that he does not have any preferred aspirant in the primary election. I want free and fair primaries, and let the delegates wisely decide who is going to be our candidate in the general election. I (Okowa) cannot decide who is going to be candidate in our great party during the primary elections except the delegates of our great party, PDP, not even any leader. So go and do your campaign with issue base. Tell your people what you will do for them if they vote you.
Comrade Sheriff Mulade thanked Governor Okowa for standing by his words, noting that Governor Okowa is truly a Democrat and a true leader. “I sincerely appreciate the leadership of our great party, PDP, to conduct free and fair primaries. I believe with free and fair primary election our great party, PDP, is good to go in the general election without stress.”
