Hon Ochor Chris Ochor Receiving The Certificate of Credence from The State EXCO of the NANS/JCC
The Nigerian students under the aegis of National Association of Nigerian Students Joint Campus Committee (NANS/JCC) has lauded the governor of Delta State, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa in sustaining development in the state.
The commendation was made when the EXCO members of NANS/JCC paid a courtesy visit to the Executive Director Social Services Development, Hon Ochor Chris Ochor on the board of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas development Commission DESOPADEC), in his office in Warri.
Making the commendation, the leader of the group, Comr. Ogonegbu Chukwunedum Precious, the Vice Chairman of Delta State Axis, said that they are happy with the governors program of continuing with free education programme to secondary level and the free maternal health programmes, which will reduce the financial burden of the less privileged in the state.
“We want to proudly applaud our amiable Governor Senator (Dr) Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa for his laudable efforts in ensuring that the free education programme to secondary school level and the free maternal health care programmes are continued”. He said.
Commenting on the government’s programme of training the youths to achieve “Prosperity for All Deltans”, the student body said the efforts of the government is a laudable one, and they are willing at any time to support the programme that will look into human development, as “the best investment is to invest in human development”.
Reacting to the comments, Hon Ochor, who also received a “Certificate of Credence” from the body thanked the students for the confidence they have in the government of Senator (Dr) Ifeanyi Okowa in re-positioning the state for development, and said that the state will continue to appreciate and partner with groups that will always bring positive ideas and plans for the development of the state.
“We will always be ready to partner with you in your programmes, especially as it concerns students in Delta state”. He said.
Hon Ochor, commending the students for the Honour done him, also commended the student body for agreeing to eschew violence, but to pursue development through intellectual programmes.
