ABUJA/Nigeria: The Clerk of the National Assembly of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Mr Amos Olatunde Ojo, has disowned any association or collaboration of the national assembly with organization claiming to be involved in collation, banking and processing of personal data of citizens and residents of Delta State.
In a letter of disclaimer, addressed to the Office of the Secretary to the Delta State Government, dated 31st March, 2021, with Reference Number NASS/CN/20Vol.5/89, the clerk listed the organizations to include Royal Gate International Limited, Centre for Leadership Perspective, and Nigeria Encyclopedia Project.
According to the clerk, “The National Assembly of the Federal Republic of Nigeria is in no association or collaboration with Royal Gate International Limited, Centre for Leadership Perspective, and Nigeria Encyclopedia Project and/or any other affiliates of the above-mentioned organisations in any activity that involves the collation, banking and processing of personal data of citizens and residents.”
He warned that the national assembly would not accept any liability for any infringement on the privacy of any individual or organization.
