EFFURUN/Nigeria: The National Centre For Disease Control (NCDC) has said that the names of persons vaccinated with the Covid-19 vaccines in Nigeria would be documented for record purposes.
The Executive Secretary of Primary Health Care in Uvwie Local Government Council Area of Delta State, Dr Henry Aghogho Ohwojedo, gave the indication while fielding questions from newsmen on the ongoing vaccination exercise at the Uvwie Local Council Secretariat, Effurun.
Ohwojedo advised that the green cards issued after each vaccination should be properly kept, adding that the seal on the card would be entered into NCDC records after the second dose of the exercise.
He had earlier remarked that some residents of the area were afraid of taking the vaccine because of the erroneous information they got from some social media and the initial rejection of the vaccine by some countries.
He stated that those afraid of taking the vaccine should be encouraged by the fact that health workers and top political office holders were the first to be vaccinated in the exercise.
