LONDON/Nigeria: As an extension of the culture and tradition of the Ndokwa which is filled with show of love and oneness, the Ndokwa people in the United Kingdom, under the auspices of Ndokwa Association, United Kingdom, weekend came together to solidify their unity far away from home as they held their annual convention, in one of the country’s major city, Birmingham.
According to our source, the event brought the various chapters from Manchester, Scotland, London, and Essex.
The two days International Conference also witnessed the presence of the President General of Ndokwa Neku Union, NNU, Chief Johnson Opone, Chief Fidelis Tilije, and other Ndokwa Sons and Daughters from United States, Europe and Nigeria.
According to the organisers, the event which witnessed the election of a new executive was rounded up on the second day with Gala Night, presentation of papers focusing on “Sustainable Strategies” for the Development of Ndokwa Land.
The event was also used by the organisers to call for total unity of Ndokwa indigenes, peace within all communities in the area, and the need to strengthen the NNU as the umbrella body and mouthpiece of Ndokwa people all over the world.
