Some of the Items to be Giving Out By DESOPADEC
The Commissioners representing Ndokwa Nation on the board of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC), Hon Ezechi Nnamdi and Hon. Fidelix Oputa have concluded arrangements to empower over two hundred (200) constituents, tomorrow in Uzomuku Primary School, Ashaka.
Speaking to news men this morning, the commissioner representing Ndokwa East on the Board, Hon. Nnamdi Ezechi said: “all is now ready for the empowerment for our people tomorrow. We are poised at affecting the lives of our people positively and have made all arrangement for a successful empowerment ceremony tomorrow in Uzomuku Primary School, Ashaka, opposite the Ashaka Police Station”.
Speaking further, the commissioner noted that the empowerment program was targeted at young people with special skills on hair dressing, fashion designing, tricyclists, e.t.c. Others to be empowered Include, the aged, widows, physically challenged, youths and women. The statement revealed that over 30 grinding machines, 50 motorcycles, 30 hair dryers, 30 giant power generating sets, 23 tricycles, 39 sewing machines, cash for financial empowerment and to accompany starter packs are all ready to be distributed to Ndokwa people at the program scheduled for 12pm tomorrow Tuesday, 22nd December, 2015.
The Commissioner also noted that the empowerment program was in line with the state governor’s prosperity covenant with Deltans and that they will continue to do their best to ensure that Ndokwa people benefit maximally from the present administration of Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa.
Excepted in the ceremony tomorrow is the Empowerment Master and Deputy Speaker, Delta State House Of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Friday Ossai Osanebi, Honorable Members of the Delta State House of Assembly, Members of the Delta State Executive Council, Directors on the board of DESOPADEC, political appointees, other top government functionaries , traditional rulers, youth and women groups in Ndokwa nation.
