ABOH/Nigeria: The Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Ndokwa East chapter has expressed dissatisfaction over management’s handling of staff welfare which they claim is below expectation.
The NULGE president Comrade Jude Ajusa stated this recently at Ashaka after a crucial meeting of the exco on staff welfare.
He decried the poor quality of the staff bus provided by the local government chairman, which he said was dead on arrival as it was already used and not in good condition. He said NULGE has rejected the bus till a new bus is provided.
On delayed promotion arrears, he appealed to staff to be patient as they reached a compromise with management which has agreed to pay as soon as possible
When contacted, the local government chairman hon Joan Governor said that there is a shortage of funds allocated to the local government council adding that staff needs will be adequately taken care of in no distant time.
