DeleOmenoger  By Rufus Oseji

Amai kingdom: The Odogwu Adi Ebuo 1 of Amai Kingdom, Sir Dele Omenogor, had attributed the absence of government attention in Ndokwa land to lack of unity among the people of Ndokwa, especially within the leaders of the land.

Mr Omenogor stated this in an interview with Ndokwa Reporters in his home in Amai, Ukwuani LGA of Delta State.

He stated that Ndokwa nation had not come together as a nation, knowing that there is power in unity. According to him, Ndokwa can only achieve her objectives, if they are together, but when there is crack among the people, their common objectives will not be attained.

“We can achieve our objective when we are together, but when we have cracks on our walls, we cannot come together, and our goals will not be achieved”. He said

Continuing, he stated that the idea of pursuing individual agenda, especially among those in government, and wealthy individuals in the area is rather depriving the people of the needed government attentions, and reducing their place in the committee of nations.

“When we individually pitch our tents differently, we are not going to get what we want as a nation, no government will come there to put schools, or any other project because you had not spoken in one voice”.

The respected philanthropist, says the war of supremacy among the various camps in Ndokwa will have to stop, for the people of Ndokwa to witness any development.

Speaking on the present financial situation of the state, while acknowledging that the present government have made some strides in one year in office, especially in the area of agricultural development, he frowned at the financial recklessness in the state since the inception of democratic rule.

According to him, the present paucity of funds in the state should not be blamed by the government for lack of development, but rather poor financial management on the part of those entrusted with the state finances.

He therefore called on the government to have a good financial management system which will help in the development of the state.
