KWALE/Nigeria: After months of apprehension, political logjam and the effect of the Novel Coronavirus pandemic that affected the world, including the election of a new Executive for the umbrella body of the people of Ndokwa, the Ndokwa Neku Union, NNU, in June 2020, the body had finally elected a new leadership that is expected to chat an improved Ndokwa for the next 4 years.
In an election that was highly competitive, and organised in a calm atmosphere at Utagba Ogbe (Kwale), on Saturday, February 13, 2021, the electoral body, chaired by Chief Nzei Ananyi successfully carried out the election that saw the election of the new executive, with Gen. Mike Ndubuisi (RTD) as the President-General.
Others position contested for are, Youth Leaders, Public Relation Officer, Legal Adviser, Secretary General, 2nd Vice President, and 1st Vice President.
While positions such as Treasurer, Auditor, Woman Leader, Assistant Secretary, were returned on opposed as there were with a single candidate each.
The new President General, Mike Nduibisi, a retired Officer from the Nigeria Army Elite Intelligence Corps, is expected to lead the Ndokwa people in the next four years, especially with approaching 2023 General Election.
With the election successfully conducted, the new team, which looks ready to start work, is expected to drive for the economic, political and social needs of the area.
In announcing the election, the Chairman of the Electoral Committee, Chief Nze Ananyi declared after the candidates, and their agents had signed the following persons as dully elected:
President-General: Gen. Mike Ndubuisi (Rtd).
1st. Vice President-General: Chief Fidelis Ogude.
2nd Vice President-General: Dr. Enubuje Innocent.
Secretary-General: Dr. Chukwuemeka Ojione Ojie.
Assistant Secretary-General: Barrister Richard Okolocha.
Treasurer: Mrs. Gloria Chukwujekwe.
Internal Auditor: Mr. Oyemike Asobi
Legal Adviser: Barrister Chester Odagwe.
Public Relations Officer: Engineer Agadaga Eugene.
Woman Leader: Professor Julie Umukoro.
Youth Leader: Mr. Ifeanyichukwu Odachi.
