Ndokwa Youths Asks Osanebi to Hands off Youth Matters, and Face His Legislative Duties.

• Osanebi Dismisses Allegation, calls Accusers Detractors of the Ndokwa Dreams

The Youths of Ndokwa under the aegis of Coalition of Ndokwa Youth Leaders Forum, has passed vote of no confidence on the Deputy Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Friday Ossai Osanebi.
In a meeting heard recently in Kwale, Ndokwa West LGA, the youths under the leadership of Comr. Alex Agha said while they are taking the decision was because of the issue of the N20 million DESOPADEC money meant for the empowerment of the youths of the area, and the recent meeting organised by the Deputy Speaker for all the youths in Ndokwa, saying he lacked the power to do so, since the Ndokwa nation have three members in the state house of Assembly representing each LGA.
In passing their resolution, the youths advised the Deputy Speaker to focus on his primary assignment of representing the people of Ndokwa East, warning all government agencies and oil companies to stop dealing with him on youth issues.
At the end of the meeting which was held at Lococoon Kwale, the following resolutions was taken by the youth leaders.
1. To write an open letter to the Governor of Delta state through newspaper publication on a national daily to stop dealing with Rt. Hon Ossai Friday Osanebi on anything concerning Ndokwa youths.
2. To write a rebuttal to counter all motions moved by Rt. Hon Ossai Friday Osanebi with regards to the 20 million naira issue.
3. They are demanding that Rt. Hon Ossai Friday Osanebi should return the 1.44 billion naira security vote money he took from DESOPADEC on behalf of Ndokwa youths. This amount was arrived at after finding out that the payment of the 20 million naira security vote from DESOPADEC started from around March/April 2009.
4. They as a group will key into the issue of step down of the Okpai IPP in Ndokwa land for the benefit of Ndokwa people.
5. They agreed to go for a peaceful protest to DESOPADEC office in Warri at an unknown date to protest against the marginalization of Ndokwa people in DESOPADEC.

Osanebi Dismisses Allegation.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Speaker, Rt. Hon Friday Osanebi, speaking through his media aide on new media, Mr Agbanashi Obinne has dismissed the allegations and accused the so called youth leaders as nothing but detractors of the Ndokwa dream.
According to the aide, who spoke to Ndokwa Reporters, the same set of Ndokwa youth leaders who attended the recent meeting to unify the youth organisations organised by the deputy speaker in the area are the same youths who attended the so called meeting, and wondered what they are trying to achieve by such double standard among the youths, advising them to be reasonable and be upright in their doings, for the sake of the future of the Ndokwa ethnic nationality in the state.
Also reacting to the resolution by the youths, Mr Jude Dike has called the actions of the youths as politically orchestrated which must be condemned by all well-meaning Ndokwa sons and daughters.
In a post which he made in Ndokwa Town Hall, Mr Dike, said that the Deputy Speaker deserves the supports of all well- meaning Ndokwa youths, since his actions had being geared towards the empowerment of the youths.
“The Deputy Speaker of the DTHA – Rt. Hon. Friday Osanebi deserves the support of all well-meaning Ndokwa youths and people. His actions since he emerged as the Deputy Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly have been geared towards the political and economic empowerment of all Ndokwa people, especially the youths”. He said.

While acknowledging the fact that the deputy speaker may have his weakness, he advised the youths to retrace their decision as Rt. Hon Friday Ossai Osanebi has the potential not only to move Ndokwa youths but also the Ndokwa nation to a more enviable position.
