IDUMUJE-UGBOKO/Nigeria: Senator Ned Nwoko, representing Delta North Senatorial District, has reaffirmed his confidence that Anioma State will soon be created as Nigeria’s 37th state.
Speaking at an enlarged meeting with leaders and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Idumuje Ward 8, in Aniocha North Local Government Area, the lawmaker told his kinsmen at Mount Ned Resort, Idumuje-Ugboko, that Anioma had fulfilled all constitutional requirements for state creation.
According to him, “the emergence of Anioma State is only a matter of time, with preparations already underway for a referendum.” He added that President Bola Tinubu’s administration, alongside critical stakeholders and socio-cultural groups across the country, were committed to the realization of the new state.
Nwoko called for unity and continued support from his people in the collective quest for Anioma’s recognition, stressing that the project was achievable through persistence and collaboration.
Expressing gratitude, he told his kinsmen that he was proud to be the first senator from Idumuje clan and Aniocha North, acknowledging their goodwill and solidarity. “I am happy for the trust you have reposed in me, and I will continue to serve the best interests of Delta North,” he assured.
The senator highlighted some of his contributions to the district, including the provision of social infrastructure and empowerment programmes, and pledged to sustain initiatives that directly impact the people.
Nwoko, who is also the Chancellor of Sports University, Idumuje-Ugboko, encouraged parents and guardians in Ward 8 and across Delta North to seize the scholarship opportunities he introduced at the institution, describing education as the key to securing a brighter future for their children.
