AGBOR/Nigeria: As part of activities to mark her ten years anniversary, a faith-based organization, Abel Healing World Outreach Agbor, has donated food and clothes to inmates of Nigerian Correctional Service, Agbor.
Speaking in a sermon, titled ‘Do Not Worry’, the General Overseer, Pastor Justina Ogor, noted that their aim was to fulfil the scriptural injunction that charged Christians to visit those in prison.
“Since your worries has not been able to solve your problems, why don’t you channel all your thoughts towards how to serving God and interest of his kingdom.
“God told us he will be with us and that his goodness and mercy shall follow, that includes everyone of you in this Correctional Center,” she said.
While saying that life was designed to be stage by stage, she stressed that most people were usually trapped when they jump stage.
“May be your been here was orchestrated by God to preserve you, for all things work together for good for those that love the Lord,” she added.
The cleric charged the inmates not to go back to crime or evil but to seek ways of doing the right thing where ever they found themselves.
“Be cheerful, strong and always look up to God. Do not ever think that your life is shattered, no matter how long you are confined, God has better plans for only if you will wait on him” she further stated.
In his remarks, the Deputy Controller in charge of Nigerian Correctional Service, Agbor, Mr. Donaltus Ezeagwu appreciated the kind gestures of the church.
According to the Deputy Controlle, who was represented by the Chaplain of Agbor Correctional Center, many other groups were after who and what they would get from people, but added “Here you are doing what God commanded inspite of the present economic situation. May God continue to bless your ministry.
