As part of activities to commemorate the world drug free day on June 26, and to mitigate the rising use of hard drugs amongst school students, the Shola Messe foundation is now set to partner the Nigeria Drug Law Enforcement agency, NDLEA, to campaign against drug abuse.

Managing Director of the foundation, Dr Shola Messe who made the disclosure during a courtesy visit by the NYSC batch B coppers, on the rising use of drugs amongst secondary school students, also noted that the campaign would be moving to over ten primary and secondary schools in Warri and environs, on the implications of drug abuse.

According to Shola Messe, the movement which will kick-off at the NYSC Warri south secretariat, is aimed at reducing the crime rate in the society by reducing drug use amongst children and their parents who might be ignorant of such vices.

Shola Messe while appealing to the government to reduce the crime rate and cultism through job creation and other meaningful engagement, called for the total support of the NDLEA to be able fast track their operations.

Lamenting the rate of usage of drugs amongst students of secondary schools where they teach, members of the NYSC also called for a reorientation of students and parents, to curtail the act.
