Niger Delta Women for Change Refutes Biased Contract Allegations Against NNPCL Executive Vice President

WARRI/Nigeria: The Niger Delta Women for Change, a non profit organisation, has denied allegations of biased contract awards against Mrs. Oritsemeyiwa Eyesan, the Executive Vice President of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Ltd (NNPCL).

The group, led by President Esiri Ikomoni, dismissed the claims as baseless and lacking substantial evidence, stated this in a press conference held in Warri, Delta State over the weekend,

Addressing the media, Ikomoni, flanked by executives and members of the group, asserted that the accusations aimed at Eyesan were part of a concerted effort to undermine her significant contributions to nation-building. She argued that these efforts were fueled by tribalistic blackmail, posing a threat to the principles of fairness and meritocracy that Eyesan represents.

“As the Executive Vice President, Mrs. Eyesan continues to lead with integrity, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to the betterment of NNPCL and the nation at large,” stated Ikomoni.

“She serves perfectly as the Executive Vice President, bringing a wealth of experience, visionary leadership, and a steadfast commitment to fostering excellence within the organization.”

Ikomoni emphasized that the ongoing attempts to tarnish Eyesan’s reputation underscored the importance of supporting leaders who prioritize competence over divisive narratives.

“The attacks against her are sponsored and reek of bitterness for reasons unknown,” Ikomoni asserted, urging the public not to be swayed by such unfounded insinuations.

The group reiterated their support for Mrs. Oritsemeyiwa Eyesan, urging a fair assessment of her leadership based on merit and accomplishments rather than baseless allegations.
