Warri: Nigerians had been called to embrace the act of dialogue in resolving the various crises in the country, especially in the Niger Delta.

This advice was made by the South African Consul-General, Mr. Darkey African when he visited the management of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, (DESOPADEC), on Tuesday, August 23, 2016.

Mr Africa said that the best way to resolve differences in human existence can only be resolved through dialogue, as witnessed by the people of South Africa, during the Apatite era.

The Envoy who was accompanied to the visit by the Senior Special Assistant, (SSA), to the Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, Chief Kingsley Ibori, said that despite the differences that may exist between the people of Nigeria, the only way to resolve such differences and leave as one, can only be achieved through dialogue, and the issue of Niger Delta cannot be exception.

According to Mr. Africa, continual agitation in Africa will undermine the prospect of development in the continent, and Nigeria will not be an exception.

“The one thing that can undermine the prospect of development anywhere in Africa, Nigeria inclusive is the continuous existence of agitation”. He said.

The envoy who praised the natural and human endowment of Nigeria, stated that this should not be undermined by the continuous agitation in the country.

Speaking further, he called for collaboration between his country and DESOPADEC, especially in the area of agriculture, which he described as “The Jewel of the future”.
